Helen is inspired by my love of Ireland and by the artwork of Helen Dardik. The mood of this pattern grew from the colors, names, and feelings that connect me to that landscape and its stories. I recently rewatched Derry Girls and felt charmed all over again by the characters and the return to the 1980s. Other inspirations came from the subtlety of Payne’s Gray, the softness of seashell tones, and the comfort of a word like “drowsy,” which feels perfect for a pattern meant to invite you in. Helen brings those memories and impressions together in a design that feels familiar, gentle, and full of quiet personality.
