Client Work
This portfolio reflects the continued growth of Sarah Janke Textiles and the thoughtful evolution of each collection. Here you will see how original patterns move from concept into beautifully lived-in spaces, where design is both practical and intentionally integrated into everyday life.
Designed with care, this custom pillow was created especially for my sister, her husband, and their beloved cats, Marzipan and Molasses. Thoughtful details and personal touches make a space feel like home, and this piece was made to do just that. I hope it brings warmth, comfort, and a little extra personality to their everyday moments.
Created during a season of transition, this space came together as a reflection of friendship and shared creativity. As my roommate prepared for graduate school, the room carried the thoughtful choices she made, from the couch she selected to the layered details that gave it warmth and personality. Meaningful pieces and intentional design are what allow a home to hold memory long after a chapter closes.
This project for a client in Dallas marked an exciting step for the studio. It was my first opportunity to bring Sarah Janke Textiles into the Dallas design community, and a meaningful beginning to expanding the work into new spaces and new conversations.
A dynamic project that brought pattern to life through custom vinyl wallpaper. Every design in the collection is available as wallpaper, allowing you to move beyond textiles and transform your walls with the same depth, texture, and intentional detail found throughout the studio’s work.
One of my greatest joys is creating the pattern itself, shaping the line, the rhythm, the story within the design. My clients bring it fully to life by sharing the colors that best reflect their space and the atmosphere they want to create. That collaboration was especially meaningful with my first Chicago client, whose thoughtful direction allowed the pattern to settle naturally into its new home.

This mask was commissioned by my dear friend Grace Lee Wilcott, one of the very first to champion my fabrics and believe in the vision behind my designs. Her early support helped shape the confidence and momentum that carried this work forward.
It began during the pandemic, when I started sewing masks as a small, meaningful way to care for the people around me. What started as a practical response quickly became the foundation for something larger, a deeper exploration of pattern, storytelling, and intentional design. Looking back, there is so much pride in how far the studio has grown, from those first handmade pieces to the fully realized collections we share today.
